Nashville’s News Channel 5 Features My Tintype Photography Project

I’m thrilled to share that my tintype photography project in Franklin, Tennessee has been featured by Nashville’s News Channel 5. Documenting the historic buildings of Franklin has been an incredible journey, bringing a bit of the past back to life with each photo.

If you’re walking around downtown Franklin and see someone with a historic camera, that’s probably me. I’m using a 19th Century process to photograph buildings from the pre-Civil War era, giving them and the folks associated with he building a timeless feel through the lens of history.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, a beautiful structure from the 1830s, along with a group of church members outside. This was the second photo in my ongoing project, which aims to keep the old ways alive and connect them with the present.

You can check out the full story and video on NewsChannel 5 here.

Below are some of the photos from this project, including the recent shoot at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
