Music City Improv - A Look Back

For over a decade, Music City Improv was one of Nashville’s most beloved and longest running improv comedy troupes — known for unscripted performances, quick wit, and a genuine connection with the local community. The group brought laughter to venues like the Belcourt Theatre and Third Coast Comedy Club, and was proudly featured by Nashville Scene, RoadTrippers, and other publications that celebrate local talent.

While Music City Improv is no longer active, its creative energy and collaborative spirit continue to leave a mark on those who were part of it — and those who came to see a show.

Though the cast has since moved on to other creative and life pursuits, some of that same spirit lives on in new forms — from storytelling and teaching to the arts. This site now belongs to one of the former members who now works as a tintype photographer in the Nashville area, documenting people and places using a 19th-century photographic process known as wet plate collodion.

The tools are different, but the heart is the same — capturing real moments, connecting with people, and creating something meaningful.
